Her chest moves in, out, and starts constricting.
She's been here before, not able to breathe.
Someone set her off, had to say something.
Inhale, exhale, hyperventilate, seethe.
Everyone outside laughs, everyone outside jeers.
Mentally falling, the crash isn't heard.
She clutches her sides, not wiping 'way tears.
She looks at her phone, all help is deterred.
Someone texting her phone won't let her be.
She's resisting help, but the person calls.
She picks up, wants to scream, but hears "Hey, it's me."
Once she hears the voice, her will to fight falls.
Suddenly all resistance melts away.
The voice comforts her and repeats, "I'll stay."
